Morgaine Speaks

Never forget the apple blossoms
the truth, the promise, the hope

We have withstood so much
and yet we will take on so much more

It is in our blood
this desire to shed no more blood

(or at least, it’s in most of us)

Most on this earth struggle every day
to get by, to be heard, to live, to love

another day

another dime

For me, you know, the real crime
is that those who struggle
they honor beauty
a hell of a lot more
than those who don’t struggle at all

Now why is that?

And why is the truth forgotten?
